We exclusively use the email address 
for support because if our internal mail server were to go down or suffer from other issues, we would obviously be unable to send and receive email which would limit our ability to fix the issue and communicate with our customers. Because we securely authenticate with Gmail's servers, it also makes it easy for other email providers to determine that the email was actually sent from us via Gmail.
